Admission for individuals in groups of 10 or more is £5 or £5.50 including Gift Aid. Art Fund members and children under 16 years are admitted free of charge.

Guided Tours

Led by experienced guides, a guided tour provides an introduction to the history of the Foundling Hospital and its founder Thomas Coram. Tours include an insight into the children’s daily lives, taking the group through significant Collections of eighteenth century art, period interiors and the story of composer George Frideric Handel's involvement with the Foundling Hospital. Guided tours last between 45 minutes and an hour. Following a tour visitors are encouraged to view the Museum at leisure. Guided tours can be tailored for groups with a specific area of interest, please specify when booking.

In addition to group admission each guide costs £50. Our guides can take a maximum of 25 people on a tour. If your group is larger than 25 a second guide can be arranged. Please note that the second tour will start 10 to15 minutes after the first has begun.

If you would like an exclusive guided tour, our Hogarth Curator Lars Tharp, provides an insightful introduction to the Foundling Museum and it's collections. A ceramics historian; William Hogarth enthusiast; arts consultant and broadcaster, Lars recently celebrated his 25th season on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow. Additional charges apply, please express interest on your booking form. Find out more about Lars Tharp here. Lars Tharp is giving a talk in the Museum, Strumpets and Nightingales: Hogarth's Women with Lars Tharp in April. To find out more and purchase tickets please click here.
