Poster: Children of a Lesser God by Mat Collishaw

This limited edition poster is of Children of a Lesser God, a powerful lightbox which brings an image of paternal strength and pride into the Foundling. Echoing the legend of Romulus and Remus, two babies are suckled by a wild bitch while the dog fiercely guards and provides for his family.

These artworks were part of a series of works displayed in the Museum for the 2010 exhibition, Mat Collishaw, Tracey Emin & Paula Rego: At the Foundling. Each of these distinguished artists has made remarkable works over the years with subject matter that lies at the heart of the Foundling story: exploitation, loss, grief, sex, love, parenthood and childhood.
