Summer Cafe Exhibition: Personas through Pictures

11 May 2012 - 09 September 2012

Free, located in the Foundling Museum Cafe

The Foundling Museum has been working with young people from Westminster Leaving Care team to explore ideas of identity through objects and portraits, lead by photographer Marysa Dowling. The participants learnt new skills, explored concepts and ideas around portraiture and identity, created props and met former pupils of the Foundling Hospital, before designing and creating their self portraits.

The project has been funded by Stories of the World.

Personas through Pictures is the Foundling Museum’s second Stories of the World project, forming part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. Stories of the World: London explored the notion of identity and life in care and was exhibited in 2010.
