Handel in the Ballroom
11 May 2014, 14:00 - 16:00
To celebrate the exhibition By George! the Foundling Museum presents an afternoon of music and dance. Dancing, from palace ballrooms to provincial assembly rooms, was a favourite entertainment in Georgian Britain. Royal birthdays were celebrated with a ball, for which dances were specially choreographed. Join dance expert Moira Goff and baroque musician Evelyn Nallen for a talk and dance workshop in the beautiful Picture Gallery. Ticket includes admission to the museum and By George! exhibition.
Tickets £15. Tickets can be bought by calling reception on 0207 841 3600 or online from the Foundling Museum's Eventbrite page.
