What People Say About Us

Kate Hooper

A quick message to Tuz Morrison, thanking her for arranging our visit last week everyone enjoyed it very much indeed and were extremely moved by the exhibition, Foundling Voices of the living memories of children's experience at the hospital.  The guides Annemarie and Joy were so well informed and everyone agreed both enhanced our visit to you. Many thanks!

Harlow U3A Family History

On behalf of the Harlow U3A Family History group who visited the Museum I would like to thank you and all concerned with our visit. So many of the group members thought it was one of the best outings all year and Jane King, our guide, made it a memorable experience. She was brilliant. Thank you once again.

Friends of Northampton Museums and Art Galleries

We had a wonderful day and were VERY impressed by the temporary exhibition "Foundling Voices". We were delighted to have Sue and Janet (I think) as our guides in the afternoon; Janet made the whole place and its history come alive and I know the first group were equally happy with Sue; well, one could tell how much people enjoyed it because there were LOTS of questions and comments. And the art is of course wonderful. Please thank the reception staff - very nice and with it! And do please thank the Coram Cafe for their patience and for the wonderful food! That also made the day special. Personally I am glad the museum is as it were re-established: it is a very important social as well as cultural heritage and the more today's society knows and understands about the harrowing choices women faced until very recently the better. It is a very moving and thought provoking place and I was glad to see that many of the school children emerged rather thoughtful after their visit. Once again thank you for a wonderful day - we will be back individually and possibly as part of other groups. We will spread the word!

Sobering, thoughtful, horrifying. The little shirts with the hateful comments sewn in was particularly compelling.

13 KBW London Chambers

What a wonderful evening!! A huge thank you to you and your team for making the chambers so welcome and for looking after us so well. Everyone loved the Museum and the story behind it and the tours were a huge success. It is such a beautiful building and the rooms are stunning: we could not have chosen a better venue. So many people said they would be coming back for a longer visit.

Foundling Voices is enthralling. The wide range of experiences and emotions are so well transmitted by the medium of sound.

Could you please pass on my thanks for the guided walk. The leader was excellent and had so many interesting extra facts about Bloomsbury as well. Thank you again to all who planned such a fascinating event for the Foundling Friends.

Childrens mobile-making workshop was great fun and kept my 9 and 10 year old quiet for 2 hours! Would definitely recommend – and come again.
