Weddings
The Founding Museum is licensed to perform weddings and civil ceremonies in the Court Room and Picture Gallery. The Museum provides an inspiring testament to philanthropy, creativity and the human spirit and offers a beautiful historic venue for ceremonies and receptions. The romantic setting of the venue spills over into the sentiment of the occasion.
The Court Room
The Court Room is one of the finest surviving Rococo interiors in London. Designed by William Hogarth in the 1740s, the room displays some of the most significant paintings from the Foundling Hospital Collection. Still containing its original architectural decoration, including a magnificent Rococo ceiling, nineteenth century chandelier and marble decoration the Court Room provides the perfect setting for a ceremony or reception.

The Picture Gallery
The magnificent Picture Gallery accommodates many of the grand, full-length and smaller portraits which established the Foundling Hospital Collection in the 1740s, including William Hogarth’s portrait of Thomas Coram. An atmospheric and historic setting, the Picture Gallery can accommodate more guests than the Court Room.
