Guided Tours

The Foundling Museum offers informative guided tours for groups led by our experienced guides. Alongside an introduction to the history of the Foundling Hospital, its founder Captain Thomas Coram and the children’s daily lives, the guide will take the group through two magnificent historic rooms: the Picture Gallery and the Court Room which include numerous important 18th and 19th century artworks. The tour concludes in the Gerald Coke Handel Room with an introduction to the composer George Frideric Handel and his involvement with the Foundling Hospital.

Guided tours last between 45 minutes to 1 hour and visitors will be able to view the Museum at their own pace afterwards.  Tours can be tailored for groups with a specific area of interest, please specify when booking.

In addition to group admission, a guide costs £50 and can take up to 25 people.  If your group exceeds 25 people you will have to book an additional guide.
